With spring right around the corner, I decided to stock up on some light layers this season. Silk, mesh, and bralettes don’t seem to be checking out anytime soon and neither does the 90s trend of overalls and the 80s rocking metallic look.
In today’s look I was able to pull most these ~trending~ looks together for under 40$ each! Like I said before, I’m a savage when it comes to a good sale. While browsing ASOS online I couldn’t leave behind this patch corduroy dress, and apparently neither could anyone else since it sold out quickly. However, here’s a link to a brown corduroy dress that will do just the same (bonus: it has pockets!!) And if brown isn’t your color check out this grey corduroy dress from Topshop. Iron on patches are definitely the new beanie babies when it comes to us 90s kids, and are easy to come by! Your local Wal-Mart, Target, Urban Outfitters and H&M are sure to have the ones for you to add a pop to your ensemble.
I paired the dress with a gold sheer top I purchased from Free People a few years back (they always seem to be ahead on trends.) However, this gold crop top from ASOS is the perfect dupe for this look. I also came across this bronze metallic mesh bodysuit that would complete the look with the other two dresses.
To tie the outfit together, I paired them with my new favorite item in my closet: River Island Metallic Heeled Boots (still in stock and on MAJOR sale!). I love these boots so much because they can dress up even the simplest of outfits. I was also shocked at how comfortable they were! They fit true to size, with just enough room for some thin socks.
Since this outfit was so colorful and busy already, I decided to stay minimal on accessories. My go to wire wrapped ring and sleek oversized Ray-Bans were the finishing touches on this vibrant outfit.
