Denim on Denim on Denim

Hey everyone! Sorry I went M.I.A. for sometime, but I think I finally have this blogging thing down. Today’s article is going to be loaded with some of my favorite denim pieces and how I styled them.

Since I started working at Pacsun, my denim items have tripled. Lately, I’ve found myself looking in the mirror after getting ready for the day in a denim ball cap, denim jacket, and denim bottoms. I’m just trying to bring back what Brittany and Justin started, in a fashionable manner of course.

My favorite thing about denim is, like the color black, it matches just about anything. Denim can make classy outfits more street styled and add the perfect accessory around your hips when you don’t have the use for it.

I have these jeans in three different washes, they are my favorite style, and conveniently they are named the ‘mom’ jean (plus grab them while they are 70% off in store). They fit perfectly around the waist with just enough wiggle room. With a tight squeeze around your thighs, they then gradually loosen up around your ankles allowing you to pair these jeans with sandals, sneakers, or ankle booties.

Once I saw this Good Vibes Only Jacket I fell in love! I adored that it already came with the cutest patches on it with plenty of room to add my own. Its’ acid wash pairs perfectly with these light colors jeans, and contrasted just enough with the bright denim wash Calvin Klein hat. These three items gave my blue hues in my bodysuit and my glasses the perfect pop!

Speaking of, I grabbed these Ray Ban Rounds as soon as possible from our local Sunglasses Hut. These glasses are definitely ‘prettier in person than in the pictures,’ which is hard to come by these days. I’ve owned a several pairs of Ray Ban Rounds and, I feel like that sentence can speak for itself. 🙂

I couldn’t find this blue velvet bodysuit anywhere (I snagged from T.J. Maxx online), but with the summer heat coming you could easily switch it for this Crushed Velvet Bodysuit from Forever21, or this Deep Plunge Bodysuit from ASOS. The jeans, denim jacket, and favorite pair of Vans are all staple items that you can pair with anything!

Two items that I’ll continue to recycle, other than my denim of course, is this military green romper and these black studded sandals. Unfortunately both items are now sold out on their sites, but I’ve added a few alternatives to check out on the bottom of the page!

This outfit is perfect for a lunch date or a night out. Of course I paired it with a denim jacket for a casual feel, but you could easily swap it for a longline black blazer.  We pulled the outfit together by adding the silver and black belt along the waistline.

Alternatives for Military Green Romper- Daisy Street Off-Shoulder Romper from ASOS,  Halter Romper With Eyelet Detail from ASOS (50$ off retail!), Crinkled Satin Romper from Forever21

Alternatives for Denim Jackets- Japan Embroidered Denim Jacket from PacsunBlack Sabbath Denim Jacket from Pacsun (scored for 75% in select stores!), White Longline Distressed Denim Jacket from Forever21

Alternatives for Studded Sandals- ASH Black Studded Flat Sandals (60% off!), White Studded Block Heels from ASOS,  Black Stud Heeled Sandals from Missguided.

Thanks for reading today and be sure to check out my Instagram for continued outfit inspiration!

xx, Sav!
